What attracts someone to you is who you are or what you're doing before the person came along. If you change because of that person and he/she doesn't see that thing which attracted him/her to you, the person will leave you. There's no rocket science explanation to this. It is a simple logic of life.
In trying to readjust your life to fit in a new spouse or friend, make sure the basics of your life is not tampered with. You can jokingly ask the person what attracted them to you and make sure you never stop working on those attractions. Unless the person came to just have sex with you and disguise it as a relationship...which is another palava on its own.
They may complain about that particular attractive quality or qualities because they feel jealous others will like you as well. But if you stop, they will soon lose interest and leave you. They may still leave even if you don't stop, but at least, you will remain yourself before, during and after the rendezvous.
No matter how much you're drunk on love, always remember that humans lose interest and move on. Your ability to manipulate, stir and manage the ship of your life will keep you in circulation and in high demand for long.
